HP as the trade prints it
A tractor is sold by horsepower in India, and the registration certificate prints it, so the register keepsengine_hp and pto_hp as the plate figures. Where a maker prints kilowatts or PS the figure is converted to HP and the sheet says so. power_kw is on the row as well for the cost engine. The trade sells by four bands, under-20, 20-35, 35-50 and above-50; GET /v1/tractors/bands lists them with the published count in each, and hp_min and hp_max on the search read the same scale.
Search
GET /v1/tractors?q=&machine_class=&manufacturer=&kind=&power_source=&hp_min=&hp_max=&wheel_drive=&weight_min=&weight_max=&price_max=&sort=&limit=&offset= returns total, hits and facets. wheel_drive is 2wd or 4wd. sort takes hp_asc, hp_desc, lift_desc, price_asc, price_desc, weight_asc, weight_desc, newest and launched. Each hit carries the maker, the class and kind, engine_hp, pto_hp, cylinders, gears_fwd, gears_rev, lift_capacity_kg, wheel_drive, the plate in display order and the price it starts from with its kind and date.
One tractor
GET /v1/tractors/{slug} is the sheet: the plate, hp_band, the words a buyer compares (tyre_front, tyre_rear, clutch, brakes, steering, emission_norm, warranty_years, warranty_hours), engine_cc, wheelbase_mm, fuel_l, every specification group as the maker states it, prices with source_kind (maker, dealer, reported, estimate) and observed_at, media links, hours_a_year for the class, and the rows buyers weigh against it. A harvester’s sheet adds cutter_bar_mm, grain_tank_l and capacity_acres_h; a power tiller’s rotary_width_mm; a transplanter’s rows.
Prices are ex-showroom and vary by state and by dealer; very few makers print one, so most figures come from dealers and carry dealer or reported. Show the kind beside the figure, as the Prices guide asks. GST on tractors has been 5 per cent since 22 September 2025.
The cost a year
GET /v1/tractors/{slug}/cost?hours_a_year=&diesel_inr= prices a year of the class’s hours (800 for a tractor by default) and an hour: ownership, fuel from the HP at a load factor, service and wear, insurance, finance and resale, each line with its basis and a default flag. A subsidy is never in the figure: where a scheme applies, the sheet on truckaurbus.com carries it as a note with the ceiling, never as the buyer’s entitlement.
Implements
GET /v1/tractors/{slug}/implements lists the implements on the register that fit this tractor: rotavators, ploughs, harrows, cultivators, seed drills, super seeders, laser levellers, threshers, straw reapers, mulchers, balers, hay rakes, boom sprayers, planters and diggers, front loaders, post hole diggers, tractor-mounted combines and trolleys. An implement fits by the tractor’s HP band (hp_min to hp_max on the implement) and the three-point linkage category, and carries its own price with kind and date. The register’s attachments door, GET /v1/machines/attachments?kind=, lists implements by kind across makers.

GET /v1/tractors/{slug}/ratings returns the month’s score per pillar (pulling power and lift, fuel an hour, comfort and ease, service and parts, reliability, resale, value for money) with the count of voices behind it. Scores and counts only; the comments stay on truckaurbus.com.
Makers and classes
GET /v1/tractors/makers lists the makers with a published row and the classes they carry; GET /v1/tractors/classes is the field’s taxonomy with labels in English, Hindi and Tamil, the plate fields per class, the kinds and the hours a year.

GET /v1/export/tractors.csv is every published tractor and farm machine in one file, business and enterprise keys, HP as printed. The columns are in Bulk export.
Webhooks
Enterprise keys may subscribe totractor.published, tractor.updated and tractor.price.changed; the payloads mirror the machine events, with the kind and the date of a price and never the page it was read from. See Webhooks.
